How To Kickflip The kickflip is the hardest beginner trick, once you can land that frequently, you join the rank of a slightly experienced sk8er! In order to land a kickflip, you should be able to land a ollie. Here's how to do it... 1. Place your feet like you would to do an ollie ( back foot on the kicktail, and front foot parallel in center of board ) 2. Pop down hard on the kicktail while you slide your front foot up to the nose, except unlike the ollie, you also slide your foot to the side, right around the concave dip, to make it spin. Make sure your back foot does not get in the way of the board, or it won't flip. 3. assuming the board is spinning freely, suck your knees into your chest, and watch for the griptape again. 4. As soon as you see the griptape, stomp your feet hard and stick it, bending your knees to absorb the impact to your board so it doesn't snap. 5. Roll away. |
